Abstract
Deixis refers to a Greek word; shows through language what the speaker means to the interlocutor. There are shows or point outs that can be divided into several categories; people deixis, temporal deixis, spatial deixis, social deixis, discourse deixis. This study aims to find 5 types of deixis and find out the meaning of references according to the deixis theory of Alan Cruse (2000). This study uses data from 6 Selena Gomez songs from the album Revival. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative where the researcher describes the types of deixis after listening to and reading the lyrics of the songs in the album. The results of this study the researchers found that there are 5 types of deixis in 6 Selena Gomez's songs from the album Revival and these songs not only have meanings about love but also about real life. After completing this research, the researcher would like to give advice to English students; Deixis is a small part of pragmatic studies, but to add insight to students about forms of deixis it is necessary to do it because the scope of simple deixis is an important setting in speech situations.
