Abstract
The aim of this study is to describe the types of illocutionary act from Emmanuel Macron’s speech. This study was kind of descriptive qualitative research, the data were the words which contain illocutionary act while the source of data in this study was Emmanuel Macron’s speech. The researcher herself was the primary instrument in this research and the secondary instrument were document in words and table data. The result of this study were found that five types of illocutionary act occured in the speech, they are assertive in 28,57%, commisive in 15,71%, expressive in 14,28% and declarative in 11,42%.
