Abstract

Finding errors when trying to solve problems indicates the level of difficulty in the learning process. These errors are analyzed to determine the type and cause of the error. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with the aim of identifying the types and factors that cause errors made by students of class X IPA-1 SMA Islam Sidoarjo on the root form material. The results showed that the students didn't know how to solve the root form questions, were not ready for the test, didn't study before the test, and didn't know how to answer the root form questions.
