Abstract
This research was conducted about the moral values and types of the moral values conveyed by the main character in The First Grader movie. This research applied descriptive qualitative research. The research subject of this research was the main character in The First Grader movie known as Kimani. The data of this research were the scenes and scripts conveyed by the main character consisting of the moral values. Researcher was the primary instrument in this research. Data collecting procedure of this research was observation. The data were analyzed by applying the theories of moral values by Nurgiyantoro (in Kusmiyati, 2014: 11) and Sulistyorini (in Laksono, 2015: 21-28). The results of this research showed that researcher found some moral values and types of moral values conveyed by the main character in the movie. Researcher concluded that there are 14 categories of moral values which classified into 2 types of moral value. The first type is the individual moral value containing of 1) hard working, 2) perseverance, 3) bravery, 4) honesty, 5) optimism, 6) enthusiasm, 7) wisdom, 8) sincerity, 9) self-confident, 10) strong believe, and 11) responsibility. The second types were social moral values, consists of 1) justice (fair), 2) sacrificing for other, and 3) kind-hearted (affection).
