ABSTRACT Pratiwi, H. P. 2019.Taching Writing Recount Text Using Jigsaw Through Edmodo. Thesis.Sidoarjo, English Study Program STKIP PGRI Sidoarjo. Advisor: (I) Dr. Sulistyaningsih, M.Pd. Advisor (II) Lailatul Musyarofah, M.Pd Keyword: Writing, Recount Text, Jigsaw, Edmodo This research was intended to describe the implementation of teaching writing recount text using Jigsaw through Edmodo and students responses in learning writing recount text using Jigsaw through Edmodo.The subject of the research was the tenth grade students of SMAN 1 Krian. There were 36 students in X Mia 6. This research focus on writing students because the researcher found low scorer students in writing skill from the teacher.This research is about teaching writing recount text using jigsaw through Edmodo.This study used descriptive qualitative as the research method.The instrument used in this research was observation field note observation and questionnaire. The finding are the implementation of teaching writing recounttext using Jigsaw through Edmodo and students responses in teaching writing recount text using Jigsaw through Edmodo. The first findingshowed that the implemention of teaching writing recount text are the teacher explain about recount text, the teacher asked the students to make a group with her instruction using Jigsaw, the teacher explained about Edmodo and the teacher asked the students to make a recount text by applying Edmodo. The second finding is students responses from questionnaire that were 62% answer yes and 38% answer no. Based on the result of the study, it can be concluded that the implementation of Edmodo could help the students to increase their writing ability especially in writing recount text and the students give the positive responses toward the implementation Jigsaw through Edmodo in teaching writing recount text. For the other researh, this research can be reference to develop their research.
