Abstract
Literary work comes from the intention and the emotion of the author in facing the obstacles and problems of his own life and social life in which he is involved. The song of Beauty and the Beast becomes the focus of analysis in this research for it is assumed that the song has many figurative language. The researcher assumes that the song lyric of Beauty and the Beast has many interesting language aspects. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods. This research uses data display to draw conclusions and to determine the next at activities. The five types of figurative language found in this analysis are used because most of them have the function to give an imaginative effect to the lyrics to make the songs become more artistic and meaningful. The song lyrics of Beauty and the Beast containing the figurative language are helpful in understanding the songs.
