Abstract
One of the objectives of the teaching English in Senior High School in the Tenth graders is the students are expected to be able to write. The most of the students are writing. The major problem that is commonly faced by the student in speaking is afraid of making mistakes and having lack of confidence. Related to the explanation above, the researcher is interested in conducting a research which is entitled “The Use of Video Biography of Famous People in Teaching Writing Recount Text at the tenth graders of SMK Antartika 1 Sidoarjo This research is conducted to find out and describe the authentic implementation” of Video Biography of Famous People in Teaching Writing Recount Text at the tenth graders of SMK Antartika 1 Sidoarjo and to describe the student’s writing ability in writing Recount Text by using Video Biography of Famous People to the Tenth graders of SMK Antartika 1 Sidoarjo. In analyzing the data, the researcher used descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this research are the teacher and the thirty there students for the tenth graders of SMK Antartika 1 Sidoarjo. The researcher used two instruments are observation field note and student task In finding of the research Video Biography of Famous People is a Media to teach and make the students more active and more spirit to explan their ideas in students writig ability. Based on this data, the researcher concludes that the teaching writing Recount Text by Using Video Biography of Famous People is good Media to help the students to write some biography of Famuos people. The student more interest to study, especially for teaching Writing Recount Text by Using Video Biography of Famous People It can be said that teaching Writing Recount Text by Using Video Biography of Famous Peoplecab be an alternative media to teach and explain their ideas in writing.
