Abstract

ABSTRACT The objectives of the teaching English in Vocational School particularly in the Tenth graders is the students are expected to be able to speak. The most of the students are shay to speak. Related to the explanation above, the researcher is interested in conducting a research which is entitled “Teaching Speaking Using Asking Direction on the Google Map Picture This research is conducted to find out and describe the authentic implementation and describe the student’s responses.In analyzing the data, the researcher used descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this research are the teacher Vocational School students. The researcher used three instruments are observation checklist, field note and questionnaire.In finding of the research Google Map Picture is a Media, The responses have two responses, there were positive and negative responses. Based on this data, the researcher concludes that is good Media to encourage students to speak up. From the student’s responses base on Chart that can be seen the majority students more interest to study, It can be said an effective way.
